Trivia. Estuvo casada con Eddie Fisher con el cual procreó a Carrie Fisher, la célebre Princesa Leia de La Guerra de las galaxias, al igual que un niño llamado Todd. La pareja Fisher-Reynolds eran muy amigos de la pareja Todd-Taylor, provocando un gran escándalo cuando a la muerte de Mike Todd, en un accidente de aviación, su viuda, la siempre bella Elizabeth Taylor, fue consolada por Eddie Fisher. Al paso de los años, Debbie y Elizabeth, se reconciliaron y estuvieron juntas en una película para televisión producida el año 2001.
